Elite Sports Injury: St. James (Assiniboine)


We are looking for a dynamic and driven Physiotherapy professional to join our team at our Assiniboine clinic located at the Courts of St. James. We offer an active-based physiotherapy model. Our mission is simple: to get our clients back to their healthy, active lifestyles.

The successful candidate will be a motivated and outgoing Physiotherapist licensed with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba who is comfortable in a busy, team-oriented environment.

Elite offers competitive compensation and a collaborative, sports-minded, energetic environment in which to apply your skills. We support continuous learning through in house learning sessions and education funding. Clinic staff look after booking appointments and laundry for all therapists. Only motivated career-minded people need apply.

  • Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates ability to thrive independently and within a team
  • Self-motivated personality, with demonstrated ability to manage a busy and varied caseload
  • Experience in manual therapy, acupuncture and the Functional Movement Systems a definite asset
  • 30 hours/week with mix of days, evenings and Saturdays

Physiotherapy Assistant

Elite Sports Injury: St. James (Assiniboine)


Are you a self-starter, looking to kick start your career in physiotherapy or Athletic Therapy? Elite Sports Injury is looking for a diligent and motivated physiotherapy assistant to join the team at their St. James location. The Physiotherapy Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a certified physiotherapist to deliver top-quality physical therapy services to clients, as well as assist with reception/office administration tasks.

  • Assist supervising physiotherapist with patient treatment: apply heat packs, remove machines, etc.
  • Demonstrate exercise routines and proper use of equipment for clients
  • Perform reception duties (taking phone calls and booking appointments), data entry and other administrative functions
  • Maintain client records and confidentiality of patient and company information
  • Promote client safety by maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Maintain inventory of physical therapy supplies (check stock, place orders, receive supplies)
  • Obtained or currently pursuing degree in kinesiology or diploma from a physiotherapy assistant program, or anatomy, physiology or personal training program
  • Experience in customer service
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with staff, volunteers and the public
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in physical fitness

  • Approximately 12 – 18 hours/week

As the first point of contact, you will interact both positively and professionally with patients. You will also answer phones, input client information, schedule appointments, and follow up on insurance and other third-party payments.   • Answer phone calls from multiple queues, schedule appointments, and answer general questions
  • Greet and check in patients
